Bay at the back of the Ocean

Iona is in the top three perfect islands, excellent rocks, white beaches, always sunny at least once a day, and the most incredible place to have a beach party. Once the Abbey daytrippers have left, the sunset will be all yours. Camping was frowned upon due to some messy Germans, but I've heard a hostel has opened up at the North end. In fact I started planning a visit as soon as I heard that! Iona is one of my most frequently visited islands, I've been there around seven or eight times, often with the National Trust for Scotland, where we did footpath work, maintenance of the marble quarry machinery and sand dune erosion prevention.
