Staffa from the sea |
Staffa lies west of Mull and boat trips run from Mull and Iona. The boats only land if calm, so try to pick a time in late May or early June
As far as my own criteria for island visiting goes, I can't tick Staffa off just yet as I haven't spent a night there - just a few hours on a day trip. We had plenty of time so I went north first to see the Puffins, meanwhile everyone else was at Fingal's cave in the south. By the time I got there I had the whole cave to myself - until a load of folk in kayaks turned up from Mull.
